He has effectively used social media platforms to become a modern extensionist who excels at knowledge translation and transfer to aid the developing cannabis industry in Canada. He has used his time at Guelph well and worked hard to gain his degree and elevate his discipline knowledge in horticulture. In my role as Chief Science Officer at Zenabis Global, I had the opportunity to assess Brendon’s in-depth knowledge and background as a graduate of Guelph University. Brendon has a strong skill set when it comes to transferring his horticulture education to others, which has helped to enhance strategic learning and developmental outcomes for our cultivation teams. As an experienced and dedicated horticulturist, Brendon played a critical role in the sustainable growth of the cultivation department at Zenabis Atholville, increasing monthly production from approximately 400 kgs to a continuous output of 3, 400 kgs. I have continued to follow Brendon’s career beyond Zenabis Global and have been impressed by his ongoing success in cannabis horticulture in Western Canada. He has become a respected and influential figure in the cannabis culture and community both domestically and internationally, 2023.

His domestic and international research as a cannabis advocate is an asset for drawing in new membership, 2023.
I was impressed with Brendon’s innovative approach to his work, and his keen interest in trying new and creative methods of Agricultural Production. It was not a surprise when he obtained ‘A’ grades in all his practical courses at the Dominica State College. I have been tracing Brendon’s career path, and after completing his studies he was successful in obtaining a job as an Agriculture Science teacher at the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School in Dominica. At the school, Roberts taught his class how to grow several crops. One of the projects which was outstanding is the growing of lettuce under greenhouse conditions. The crops produced at the school were sold to the teachers and neighbouring villages as a means of raising funds for the class. It is not surprising that Mr. Roberts used his knowledge in Agriculture and experience in Cannabis Production and shared such knowledge on LinkedIn and other social media platforms which created great interest among stakeholders of cannabis worldwide. Being extremely passionate about the application of knowledge, Brendon played a vital role in Canada’s reafforestation strategy in silviculture within the Northwestern Ontario region, 2022
Brendon brings excellent horticulture practices to Sugar Cane Cannabis (SCC) and offers William Lake First Nation stewardship by adding significant rural economic development capacity to our Nation. Under Bredon’s tutelage, the SCC team has cultivated excellent craft cannabis, which is available throughout British Columbia, and soon looking to expand its distribution across Canada. As a distinguished horticulture cannabis educator, Brendon has implemented the growth of our team through training, coaching, and mentoring programs for the young men and women of Williams Lake First Nation. Similarly, he continues to share his passion for cannabis entrepreneurship and rural economic development at a high level, as demonstrated in both public and private sector engagements. Considering Brendon’s stellar efforts, WLFN continues to feel valued and proud of having an ally like Brendon to assist us in building a more robust community for the foreseeable future, 2023
I worked with Brendon during his tenure as the Master Grower/ Plant Manager of the Outdoor cannabis license cultivation facility at Midway, British Columbia for BZAM Management Inc. The level of dedication, leadership, commitment, and perseverance Roberts illustrated in his role was quite remarkable and aided the growth and development of the 290 acres property. Not only did Brendon embraced the immense project of developing the bare land into a fully functioning cannabis farm. He liaised with local officials and connected the community. He was able to alleviate concerns about this new industry in this small community of Midway. He engaged in meaningful conversations about the cannabis industry and about his own experiences. His educational endeavours are commendable and inspiring. Brendon’s major achievements came by forging skilled relationships with cannabis farmers, irrigation companies and composting facilities in the Boundary Kootenay and Okanagan-Similkameen regions. As a result, Roberts was able to secure a contract for over half a million dollars sourcing and transporting composted material from the township of Princeton into Midway. This allowed us to utilize over eight thousand tonnes of compost to build up the sandy loam soil profile of the West Kootenay Boundary. This provided nutrient density to allowed us to maintain a healthy soil biology for cannabis cultivation while reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers. Similarly, Brendon was highly successful in studying our local environment and finding cannabis genetics out of Salmo in the East Kootenay region which possessed the desirable ecotype, genotype, and phenotype properties. Brendon has also regularly collaborated with our executive management team to share horticulture services at BZAM’s Cedar Way facility located in the Greater Vancouver area and our Sweetgrass facility situated in Edmonton, Alberta. Brendon’s background as a Guelph graduate has provided him an absolute advantage as one of Canada’s specialists in cannabis horticulture. The wealth of experience he has acquired at local, provincial, and global levels in cannabis while building up Canadian communities deserves to be recognized and celebrated as an inspiration to our youth and citizens in cannabis horticulture. He is an incredible voice in advocating for women and minorities in the corporate sector. He is committed to youth development as displayed in his numerous teaching engagements. He is here to light up those around him. You can’t help but be a better person after connecting with this unique individual, 2022.
Brendon has made significant contributions in plant agriculture development and cannabis horticulture on a local, and global scale that seems to me, quite unparalleled. I have followed his progress and track record throughout Canada, in his entrepreneurship endeavours, and master class plant development dialogue within the business society. His success in corporate cannabis leadership across the county, working and building communities, has dominated as an influential icon. As one of Canada’s leading authorities on cannabis horticulture. Brendon has established a huge following by sharing cannabis horticulture knowledge, tradition, and culture, on LinkedIn and other social media platforms, which inspire people worldwide. He has also helped developed indigenous provincial communities in plant agriculture, building Native human resource development to support sustainable plant medicine projects. I continue to be marveled at Brendon’s sustained excellence in a very challenging landscape, 2022.
