In Zvimba, Zimbabwe, Mrs. Teverai Chigogo shines as a symbol of resilience and empowerment in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
As Chairwoman of the African Women Entrepreneurship Program Zimbabwe Chapter, Ms. Chigogo is a holder of a BSc in Management and Entrepreneurial Development and a Diploma in Banking.
She has transformed her 101-hectare farm into a hub of innovation, mastering poultry, livestock, and diverse crops including a recent harvest of 35 tons of maize and 3 tons of sunn hemp.
Recently, she attended the South African Hemp Symposium, thanks to cannabis community and cannabis industry sponsorships, furthering her mission to connect Zimbabwean women with global opportunities.
With over 20 years in women’s empowerment, Teverai inspires others with her wisdom: “Farming is a business. Never expect to make it in a season or two.” Her journey proves that empowered women uplift entire communities.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the following individuals, businesses, and many others who have always supported our cannabis communities in many worthy causes:
