The African Women Entrepreneurship Program

The African Women Entrepreneurship Program Zimbabwe (AWEP-Z) is on a mission to transform the lives of women entrepreneurs and their communities through innovation, education, and collaboration in the hemp industry. We are seeking your support to raise $2,000 CAD to facilitate regional networking opportunities for these determined women.
This funding will provide travel assistance for AWEP-Z members to visit South Africa, and Malawi, countries leading the way in hemp innovation. These visits will enable women from Zimbabwe to:
▪️Engage with academia, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors.
▪️Learn about the latest research, market trends, and innovations in the hemp industry.
▪️Explore showcases of CEI hemp prototypes in areas such as construction, energy storage, food, and feed.
▪️Understand the pivotal role of hemp in the green economy, especially its contributions to phytoremediation and carbon sequestration.
The Zimbabwean women in AWEP-Z face significant barriers to growth in the hemp sector, including:
▪️Knowledge gaps on cultivation and processing techniques.
▪️Limited access to high-quality seeds and technology to enhance production capabilities.
▪️Legislative hurdles that stifle innovation and market entry.
▪️Financial constraints that make it difficult to access grey fields and global markets.
By funding these travel opportunities, you will:
