In a groundbreaking show of international cooperation, six nations have joined forces to fund the African Women Entrepreneurship Program Zimbabwe Chapter (AWEP-Z), driving hemp industry growth and championing women’s leadership in agriculture.
This initiative marks the first time AWEP-Z will prominently be featured in cannabis development at major South African and Malawi conferences, giving Zimbabwean women an essential voice in the evolving hemp and cannabis sectors.
This effort highlights the global recognition of hemp’s transformative potential in agriculture, medicine, and economics. With a significant portion of the funding (87%) coming from the Global North, countries like the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands are at the forefront of this movement.
